We believe in transparency. Mobile waterless fleet valeting is an excellent solution for the vast majority of corporate fleet care requirements, but it is not the right answer for every situation. Here is an honest assessment.
Where Waterless Fleet Valeting Excels
Regular Maintenance of Road-Going Vehicles
For vehicles that accumulate normal road grime — dust, road film, light mud splashes, insect residue — waterless valeting is fully effective. This covers the overwhelming majority of corporate fleet vehicles: company cars, pool vehicles, sales rep cars, and executive vehicles.
When maintained on a regular schedule (weekly, fortnightly, or monthly), vehicles never accumulate the level of soiling that would challenge waterless methods.
On-Site Convenience
No other cleaning method matches the convenience of waterless valeting. No water supply needed. No drainage required. No vehicle movement necessary. Technicians arrive at your car park with everything they need and service your fleet where it stands.
Environmental Performance
Zero water consumption, zero chemical runoff, zero trade effluent. The environmental credentials are unambiguous and documented. For any organisation with ESG reporting requirements, this is a significant advantage.
Integrated Protection
Unlike traditional washing (which strips wax and protection), waterless valeting with PureShield applies ceramic protection during every service. Each valet actively improves the vehicle’s surface protection rather than degrading it.
Fleet Intelligence
The 25-point inspection, digital condition reporting, and automated ESG data turn a cleaning service into a fleet management tool. No traditional car wash provides this.
Where Waterless Valeting Has Limitations
Heavily Soiled Vehicles
Vehicles caked in thick mud, heavy sand, or significant agricultural contamination should not be waterless-valeted without a pre-rinse. Attempting to wipe heavy particulate matter from a surface — even with lubricating encapsulation — increases the risk of surface marks.
MMCC’s approach: For fleets that occasionally return heavily soiled vehicles (e.g., after site visits to construction or agricultural locations), we recommend a brief pre-rinse of the affected areas before waterless treatment. This is a rare occurrence for most corporate fleets.
Undercarriage Cleaning
Waterless valeting cleans all visible exterior and interior surfaces, but it does not flush the undercarriage. For vehicles operating in coastal areas or regions where road salt is heavily used, periodic undercarriage washing at a dedicated facility is advisable in addition to regular waterless valeting.
Large Commercial Vehicles
Our service is optimised for cars, SUVs, and light commercial vehicles. Large HGVs, buses, and specialist vehicles require different equipment and techniques.
The Balanced View
For 95% of corporate fleet care requirements — maintaining company cars, pool vehicles, and employee benefit vehicles in good condition on a regular schedule — waterless valeting delivers superior results to traditional methods, with better environmental credentials and more useful data.
The 5% of situations where limitations apply are easily managed through supplementary arrangements.
Making the Right Choice for Your Fleet
MMCC’s complimentary fleet audit assesses your specific vehicles, usage patterns, and site conditions to recommend the most effective approach — including honest guidance about where waterless valeting is and is not the optimal solution.
