How does mobile headlight restoration work?
Three stages, done at your location with no need to take the car anywhere.
Assess and mask
We check both lenses for oxidation, cracks and internal moisture, then mask the surrounding paint and trim so only the lens is worked on.
Sand and polish
The oxidised outer layer is taken off in progressive stages, then polished back to a clear finish. This is what removes the yellow haze.
Seal with UV-protective coating
A protective coating goes on last. Bare polycarbonate yellows again quickly without it, so this step is what makes the result last.

Why do headlights go yellow?
Headlight lenses are polycarbonate with a factory UV coating. Sunlight breaks that coating down over the years, and the exposed plastic oxidises into a yellow, cloudy layer that scatters the beam.
How much does headlight restoration cost?
From £55 per pair. It is an add-on, booked alongside any valet: with a Basic Valet from £45, the total starts from £100. Very large vehicles may cost more.
Can I book headlight restoration on its own?
No. Headlight restoration is booked alongside a Basic, Full or Ultimate Valet, so it is done in the same visit.
Can cloudy headlights fail an MOT?
They can, if the haze affects the beam pattern or light output. Restoration helps with MOT readiness, but the result is always the tester's decision.
How long does headlight restoration last?
The restoration carries a 1-year warranty. Beyond that it depends on sun exposure, where the car is parked and how it is washed.
How long does it take?
About 60 minutes for a pair, done at your location while the rest of the valet is carried out.
Do you repair condensation or cracked headlights?
No. Restoration treats oxidation on the outside of the lens. Moisture inside the unit or a cracked lens needs a repair or a replacement unit, and we will tell you if we see either during the visit.
